The General Staff of the Navy studied the possibility of also using its arsenal of Exocet MM-38 (Mar-Mar) missiles, to stop the action of the British warships, which were carrying out persistent naval cannonade at night on the Argentine units stationed in the Falkland Islands. Although the Exocet MM-38 missiles are designed to be launched from a ship against another ship, in mid-May Captain Julio Marcelo Pérez and a group of collaborators from the Puerto Belgrano Naval Base were entrusted with trying to develop the equipment that would allow them to be launched. those missiles from land facilities in the Falklands. Among other things, Pérez worked in Research and Development in the missile area of CITEFA, designed and executed the assembly of the Exocet MM-38 on several Navy destroyers, and had recently traveled to France to supervise the reception of the AM missiles. -39 destined for Super Étendard (SUE) aircraft. Astutely, by chatting with engineers from the Aérospatiale company, Pérez obtained from them some "unwritten" information about the missiles they manufactured, which would be of primary use for the future success of the SUE and also to address the design, construction and operation of a system for the ground emplacement of an Exocet MM-38 missile launcher. To do this, Pérez, together with technicians Luis A. Torelli and Antonio Shugt, undertook an experimental survey that identified the signals that the Exocet exchanged with its control unit, in each of the shooting situations. "We cut cables and tested signals using little cables, and these little cables were joined with others to simulate other signals, and these others were applied with batteries, and thus we obtained, successively, indications, marks, signs that allowed us to reconstruct a system," Pérez described. . "After numerous tests, we came to the almost fantastic conclusion that yes, we could deceive the missile."
Finally, in the early morning of June 12, 1982, the long-awaited opportunity arose for the men commanded by Captain Pérez. That night the radar detected a British ship that was at 29,960 meters in the direction of 201º 22', having thus entered the range of the missiles. All the steps for the Exocet shot were quickly executed, which this time came out correctly oriented and hit the target after a few minutes that seemed endless, causing a great glow that indicated the success achieved. As was learned months later from British sources, the ship hit was the HMS Glamorgan and the impact occurred in the stern sector. Her officer of the watch, Ian Inskip, ordered a timely turn to starboard upon detecting the approaching missile, thus preventing the impact from occurring amidships, where it could have caused devastating damage. The success achieved had a wide impact on senior naval commanders around the world. After the fall of Puerto Argentino, the British carried out an in-depth analysis of the missile installation that remained on the islands. They were amazed that with such improvised means they had managed to put such a powerful warship out of action. This achievement of Captain Pérez, achieved with very low-cost equipment and incomplete information, earned him decorations from the Argentine Navy and the National Congress. He was also appointed Naval Attaché in France, where he was awarded the "Ordre National du Mérite" in the rank of Commander.
lego logics ... they said they will NOT make any real-military based vehicles/aircrafts because "war is baaaad" and stuff ... lego sets be like:
I like that so much ! Great work !
Thank you so much! Glad you like it! 😀
I would actually pay to get the plans for these I love Italian warships!!!
Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I don't have any means to make instructions... 🥲
Kudos to your Lego building 👍
So glad that you like it!
The Littorio will get a lot of love but I like the Zara
The Zara was the first that I made. It gave me the will to make all following ships! And that ruined my bank account! 😅
Bravo!👍
Gracie! :D
The Littorio class Battleship is probably the most accurate of them all. It's pratically identical. The Cavour class is the second most accurate Gotta love the M.A.S. being late
Wow, I'm truly grateful for your comment! Each year I make a new Fleet Display and right now I'm starting a new Display, this time about the Japanese Maritime Self defense force! I'm sure you will love it too! 🙂
@@joaoonda I'm not really a fan of modern ships, to be honest. I prefer the period between 1845 (launch ofH.M.S. Warrior) and 1945 (end of WW2)
@@user-mi8ef4qd2k well, I'm sure I will be back to that period very quickly.😅

Eínon 5.02K subscribers Nice Italian Navy Battle Fleet ya got there! Just though you should know I've already finished building a few more iconic sci-fiction spacecraft over the last three months such as the Covenant CCS-class Battlecruiser (from Halo franchise), the Klingon L-6 Defender-class Frigate (from the old FASA Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat Simulator ), and the famous White Comet Empire's own Nazca-class Astro Strike Carrier (from Space Battleship Yamato 2199)!
Nice! Do you have pictures of them?
Stunning fleet! Very good job. Do you sell instructions and part list?
Thank you! Sadly, I don't. It takes a lot of time to make them 🥲

Do you sell an f16
No sorry... but they are for sale at Brickmania for example..

Futuristic flyer is su47.
I don't get it? You could buy a scale model and the basic materials for the cost of one of these lego kits and have a better static model

America did not surrender!!!! It was not a battle ship either it was an island with a fortress built on top closly to the shape of the shoreline which happened to be the shape of a battleahip nor was it used much more than a deterrent to get the Japanese fleet where they wanted them
1) Yes, the Americans surrendered to the Japanese in 1942! Yes, the Americans were defeated and were forced to deliver this island fortress to the Japanese. 2) I never said that it was literally a Battleship, I said it was "kinda" like one, it was a lyric reference. The fortress was well known at the time and since then as "concrete Battleship". 3) the fortress was built as a deterrent but was actually used in combat and shelled the Japanese invasion forced that attacked the Island of Corregidor. Only when Corregidor was conquered they decided to surrender since they didnt have enough water inside
@@joaoonda correction on number 1: it's more like the americans left the Philippines (which surrendered on April 10, 1942) to go back and get it later
@@wilfredrowanserilo3234 so they just surrendered without actually being there? 😅 MacArthur left the area pronouncing his famous words "I shall return" but while he did that, the men at Corregidor and Fort Drum were forced to stay behind and hold the "fort" until MacArthur was safe. After that, they surrendered and they were very very poorly treated by the Japanese. Only around 38 men of the entire crew of Fort Drum survived the War
To be honest, the j-20 one also kinda looks like the yf-23 with the wing designs
Could be, off course. Some people also say that it's the Boeing YF-32...
It looks like an mig-21 not f-16
Do you know an Aerobatic team that uses the Mig-21? Also, the nose and wings are different than the Mig-21, its literally the F-16
